Merrill Construction

I started working in Santa Barbara as a laborer in 1982 to help pay my way through college and after a few years of hard work I began doing carpentry and my own side jobs on the weekend. I enjoyed working with my hands and picked up on my trade quickly. I started off framing custom homes with some of Santa Barbara's elite contractors and worked my way up the ladder to a supervisor position.

In 1995 I obtained my General Contractors License and started my own business, MERRILL CONSTRUCTION.  I have had the pleasure of working on a variety of projects that have honed my skills as a craftsman  and a contractor. In 1999 I bought my first house in Goleta and began fixing it up. Shortly after I met my wife Joanne, and after a few years we purchased our second home and began an extensive remodel, winning the title "Goleta Beautiful". We lived in that charming little home for 4 years until I got the itch to buy a small avocado ranch and put my skills to work all over again, this time on a HUGE scale! I use our current home as a show room for my clients so they can see a wide variety of my remodeling options, details, techniques and skills. In 2021 I moved to Lake Oswego Oregon and now work here most of the time. I look forward to making your renovation dreams come true.
